I never had a problem with the lack of diversity in 40K. The way I figured it, the Imperium of Man is a pretty Nazi-like empire to begin with. It's completely probable that they simply wiped out all the minority races.

A lot of fantasy is pretty overtly racist when you get right down to it. Certain races in fantasy are just de-facto evil and that's just that. When I play organized Dungeons and Dragons and we encounter a goblin or an orc, most gamers turn into murder-hobos immediately. Then I'll say something like "should we try to figure out if they've done anything wrong first?" and they'll stare at me dumbfounded as if I had sprouted a third eye and tentacles.

Pete (got an awful lot of mileage out of a lawyer character he played who used to analyze ever scenario from a legal perspective)

On the subject of SJW's, have any of you people ever known anyone like that?

Boardgamegeek is loaded with them. They're going banana boats right now because the board game A Feast for Odin has no female characters in it.

                    Pete (stays out of it)

The only thing that doesn't fit in the Marvel Universe is someone who is completely normal in every single way.

Pete (thinks they wouldn't even know what to do with THAT guy)

Geezus Pete! You've stumbled onto an awesome idea. A comic about a normal person in the Marvel/DC or whatever universe, giving a third person perspective of the superheroes. Remember in Batman where he was watching the Superman fight and the entire city was being destroyed around him? It's a real "WTF is going on" perspective.
