I wouldn't place my bets now.
There's a serious implosion happening with him now. He's gonna weal and deal with every county to try to prove that it's "ok", that he actively undermines democracy.

Also just to you (Race), even if big public and private institutions went away suddenly, people would still work together to create more. Humanity is at it's finest when we have a mutual ideal.
That's the flipside to your "power corrupts" line of talk. People work together.

      Then we start again.
People have a percentile that just want's there own... they grow in power and take advantage.

Somehow the circle needs to stop.
U.S. democracy has been the best at it.

He is brazenly breaking the law and corrupting the 2020 election... and his base just loves him for it.

You're caught up in meaningless minutia while being oblivious to the big picture. This is the case with most people. This is why we are where we are today. There's nothing else I can say to you that hasn't already been said.

Actually that's not the case. Your just kinda caught up in yourself. Most people get along and work well together.
Big question, are you a hermit living in your basement?
Outside of that, be it work, family, simply shopping, people for the most work together rather well, and the ones mostly breaking out of the norm are caught up in some kinda psychological issue.
and yes, I consider kneeling infront of your radio everyday to listen to rush a major psychological issue.

This maybe off topic but, I encourage all to see this video. https://youtu.be/xtpgkX588nM

On one side is a east coast educated Yale or Harvard type asking questions with a liberal undertone and, on the other side is Milton Friedman. The way Milton answers questions so patiently and, without bias is the best way to persuasively represent, teach or lecture. Miltonís demeanor and ability to convey his market beliefs transcends politics and he never resorts to personal attacks.

Steve, while I may agree with a lot of your viewpoints, Iííll say you can take a lesson from Milton on how to convince or persuade others to your viewpoints because your responses are often adversarial rather than educational.

Dan (is frequently as guilty as Steve and, doesnít always follow the above advice)

As long as there exists people with religion and a belief in God, there will never be a Libertarian state.

We are past the point where a person like Milton Friedman could engage in that type of civil discourse. The left wouldn't allow it. The left would just label him a white supremacist who doesn't comprehend his white male privilege and the ideas themselves would be lost in the cultist noise.

Keep in mind I do understand my audience. I always start out civilly and if there was something to be gained with a person I knew I couldn't directly convince, but could possibly convince others who were on the fence but just observing, I would take a different approach.

Also, I'm a senior manager of 15 low level supervisors at the most PC company on earth. The "woke" minefield I play in every day would blow anyone's mind, but I navigate it very successfully so part of it is just blowing off steam when I don't have to coddle stupidity.

But at the end of the day, I'm not disagreeing with you Dan.

Steve (has zero patience for people who intentionally will not see)

So it turns out the other guy in the video was William F. Buckley, Jr. a noted conservative I didn't recognize. He was smarmy and, I thought he took a liberal tone and, yes, he went to Yale.

I get where you say "part of it is just blowing off steam when I don't have to coddle stupidity," but, as you don't disagree, it's not as effective. I also get you don't try to belittle people unless you think it's deserved.

Let's be real. Steve was an asshole back when he was arguing the liberal position fifteen years ago, long before he joined Progressive.

                              Getting back on topic.....

Fox News Poll: Record support for Trump impeachment

Just over half of voters want President Trump impeached and removed from office, according to a Fox News Poll released Wednesday.

A new high of 51 percent wants Trump impeached and removed from office, another 4 percent want him impeached but not removed, and 40 percent oppose impeachment altogether. In July, 42 percent favored impeachment and removal, while 5 percent said impeach but donít remove him, and 45 percent opposed impeachment.

Since July, support for impeachment increased among voters of all stripes: up 11 points among Democrats, 5 points among Republicans and 3 among independents. Support also went up among some of Trumpís key constituencies, including white evangelical Christians (+5 points), white men without a college degree (+8), and rural whites (+10).
