CBS Local How much would you put at risk to invest in the hottest digital currency in the world? For some people, the skyrocketing value of Bitcoin is worth putting their own homes at stake.

It's another sign of the massively inflated bubble.

Yet no one is shorting this "bubble". Bitcoin isn't analogous to other bubbles because of the finite supply. The competition will take years to have a major impact on market share. This is unchrted territory and everyone is just guessing. I have no idea if bitcoin is going to 100k or if it will pop. My biggest worry is government intervention, but even that can have the opposite effect and cause even more people to seek alternatives to gov issued fiat.

    We shall see.

Government intervention is the best-case scenario for cryptocurrencies in the long term.

Pete (thinks that's a pretty bad kind of upside)
