Everyone should kneel or simply not show up for the anthem if the POTUS is going to imply that it's compulsory to stand or perform some other kind of reverent behavior.
A mile of road takes you a mile. A mile of runway takes you anywhere.

I have landed an airplane at: 3CK, PWK, UGN, DKB, ENW, RFD, DPA, 06C, JVL, MSN, VPZ, LAF

Nearly 100 pastors and community leaders plan to hold a “Kneel-In” protest outside Bank of America Stadium before the start of the Carolina Panthers-Philadelphia Eagles NFL football game on Thursday night.

Sounds more like a kneel out.

Pete (thinks if you're not in the stadium you might as well do it at home)

This whole thing would have went away after the first few time Kaepernick did it if they simply ignored him. Sometimes the best way to punish a child who is acting up for attention is to ignore them and not give them what they want. But no, the uber patriots must virtue signal to the world just how patriotic they are.

Here’s something that I recently posted on my Facebook.

I just read this short book written in 1935 by retired Major General Smedley Butler called War is a Racket. I'd highly recommend it to anyone. He claims that World War 1 created 21,000 new millionaires and billionaires. He died in 1940 but I can only imagine what his thoughts are on our foreign policy since. Here's one of the best points of the book.

    ----------------------------------------------------
    How to Smash This Racket!

A few profit -- and the many pay. But there is a way to stop it. You can't end it by disarmament conferences. You can't eliminate it by peace parlays at Geneva. Well-meaning but impractical groups can't wipe it out by resolutions. It can be smashed effectively only by taking the profit out of war.

The only way to smash this racket is to conscript capital and industry and labor before the nations manhood can be conscripted. One month before the Government can conscript the young men of the nation -- it must conscript capital and industry and labor. Let the officers and the directors and the high-powered executives or our armament factories and our munitions makers and our shipbuilders and our airplane builders and the manufacturers of all the other things that provide profit in war time as well as the banisters and the speculators, be conscripted -- to get $30 a month, the same wage as the lads in the trenches get.

Let the workers in these plants get the same wages -- all the workers, all presidents, all executives, all directors, all managers, all bankers -- yes, and all generals and all admirals and all officers and all the politicians and all government officeholders -- everyone in the nation be restricted to a total monthly income not to exceed that paid to the soldier in the trenches!

    ----------------------------------------------------

If a nation can draft a soldier to fight and pay them next to nothing with the threat of imprisonment or death if they refuse, why can't the same be done to all those working to support it or profit off of it? Or is standing for the anthem the only patriotism required for those not doing the fighting?

Oh, and the guy with 5 draft deferments is telling me what I should be offended by.

Colin Kaepernick has filed a grievance against the NFL teams.

The company can do what it wants. The workers can respond how they want too.

I'd love to see what he could possibly present as evidence...

Pete (wonders if he's delusional enough to think his totally mediocre NFL career is enough to convince a judge that he's being blacklisted)

As a backup making 1/8 the money Kaepernick is demanding?

Pete (thinks if Kaepernick was willing to take Sanchez money he'd be in the NFL right now)
