You can hardly taste it with the ginger beer, lime juice, and the twist.

If you're making them at home, you must try Fever Tree ginger beer. Amazing.

I love ginger beer, so I'd try any of them.

I thought Moscow mules shoved cocaine up their asses and flew international...
They speak in bulletpointese leftist nutjob drivel. It doesn't matter. Nothing is as great a motivator as the chance to truly be free.

I might try it with the right gin or rum. There's something about vodka that cuts through the mixers and comes across as noxious to me.

It's the exact opposite for me. Vodka just disappears with a mixer. It's the reason I can down 4 Bloody Marys on a Sunday morning.

I'm with Steve. But I can drink vodka straight if it's good vodka. Grey Goose is great on the rocks. I went to college with a guy from Uzbekistan and he brought real Russian vodka that he would heat up in a coffee mug. It was phenomenal.

A mule with rum would be way too sweet. Gin? I don't know. That sounds gross.

Gin and rum are much like any other liquor; get a better quality, and it's a whole different world. Rums don't have to be sweet, and can be very complex. I will admit to preferring more floral cocktails, but there's a big difference between "floral" and "sweet." I've been working towards making a real actual Mai Tai, which requires very specific rums. Neither of the original rums have been made in decades, so it's a bit tricky.

To me Vodka is the booze you drink when you don't want to taste the booze.

Firefly and lemonade is really good.
