    Paris (AFP) - Elated scientists announced Wednesday the completion of a 20-year quest to map the complex enzyme thought to forestall ageing by repairing the tips of chromosomes in plants and animals, including humans.

    cryo-EM is changing the way we think about biomolecule structure. Understanding the function of telomeres is great, but 8 Angstrom resolution is a long way from full characterization, I expect that will go down to a more useful ~2 angstrom resolution (around atomic radius) in the next 5 years, then actual drug discovery based on this structure can begin.
